Grand Ole Opry star Mark Wills is bringing his celebrated voice to the new family film The Best Thing About Christmas, premiering on UP Faith & Family December 19, followed by a national television debut on UPtv December 20.
Wills appears in the movie and performs the film’s original title track, written by Nashville singer-songwriter Derek Hinckley, who also stars as lead character Dylan Hunt. The full official soundtrack — featuring Wills, Hinckley, and Nashville musicians — is available now on Spotify.
Award-winning journalist and actress Megan Alexander produced the film and stars as Kara Hunt. Alexander has been closely involved in shaping the story, music, and casting, helping lead the film from early development to national distribution.
The story follows the Hunt family as they move to Nashville when Dylan’s long-awaited record deal becomes reality. When life takes an unexpected turn, music and faith guide the family toward healing and rediscovering what truly matters most.
