Mackenzie Phillips to Headline Cumberland Heights’ 15th Annual “Reaching New Heights” Luncheon

Actress, New York Times Bestselling Author, and Recovery Advocate to Appear April 8, 2026 at Hillwood Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Cumberland Heights will host its 15th Annual Reaching New Heights luncheon on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Hillwood Country Club in Nashville, Tennessee, featuring acclaimed actress, author, and recovery advocate Mackenzie Phillips as keynote speaker.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Cumberland Heights’ Women’s Program, which provides a safe, supportive, and home-like environment designed specifically for women navigating recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. The program emphasizes individualized care, female-led support, and a community-centered approach to healing.

Funds raised from the luncheon will help:

  • Provide patient assistance funding

  • Support renovations to the women’s residence

  • Expand staff training and development

  • Supply essential materials and recovery resources

  • Advance future program initiatives

Phillips, widely known for her roles in American Graffiti and One Day at a Time, as well as her bestselling memoir High on Arrival, brings a deeply personal and professional perspective to the conversation around addiction and recovery. Now serving as a director at Breathe Life Healing Center in Los Angeles, she specializes in trauma-informed care and substance abuse treatment.

“As a woman in long term recovery, I understand and support the needs and goals of all women seeking recovery,” said Phillips. “Treatment is not a one size fits all thing. Offering guidance and support provided by women and for women has a special place in my heart.”

A survivor of substance abuse herself, Phillips has become a leading voice in addiction awareness, using her lived experience and professional work to educate and inspire those on the path to recovery.
