The Nation's Premier 250th Anniversary Celebration Launches in America's Oldest Occupied Settlement with Two Days of Free Family Events, Live Music & Patriotic Programming April 11 & 12, 2026!

The U.S. 250 Freedom Tour — a coast-to-coast, nonprofit celebration of America's 250th anniversary — will launch its historic 50-state journey in Downtown Childersburg, Alabama on April 11 & 12, 2026. Childersburg, nationally recognized as the oldest continuously occupied settlement in the United States (Est. 1540), provides a profoundly fitting backdrop for the opening stop of a tour celebrating 250 years of American liberty.

Presented in collaboration with Moms for America, the U.S. 250 Freedom Tour is a yearlong initiative spanning 50 states, 50 weeks, and 50,000 miles — designed to reach 250 million Americans through free, family-centered events anchored by the signature Freedom Village experience, live patriotic concerts, and educational programming for all ages.

Both days will be anchored by the Freedom Village in Downtown Childersburg, open daily from 10 AM to 5 PM and free to the public. Guests can expect colonial-era demonstrations, artisan workshops, historical reenactors, Liberty Kids America children's activities, live performances on the Heritage Stage, and a bustling Market Square with local vendors — all celebrating the heritage and traditions that have defined American life for 250 years.

Saturday evening brings the tour's marquee ticketed concert to John Cox Stadium, headlined by country music star Easton Corbin — known for hits including "Roll with It," "All Over the Road," and "A Little More Country Than That" — with special guest Griffith. Gates open at 5 PM with the show beginning at 6 PM. General Admission tickets are $25, with Preferred Seating available at $40 and VIP options also on offer.

Sunday's programming takes on a distinctly faith-filled and celebratory tone, featuring performances by gospel favorites The Hoppers, Griffith, Master's Voice, and a closing Freedom 250 Show — along with a special City Presentation honoring Childersburg's unique place in American history.

The Childersburg kickoff marks just the beginning of a celebration that continues through the year, carrying the U.S. 250 Freedom Tour through all 50 states and bringing Americans together in a shared recognition of the faith, sacrifice, and resilience that have shaped this nation for two and a half centuries. Whether you're there for the music, the history, or simply to be part of something bigger than yourself, Childersburg, Alabama is where it all begins — and there has never been a better time to be an American.
