NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Will Wade, LSU Men's Basketball Head Coach, will bring a message of leadership, resilience, and redemption to Cumberland Heights' 2026 Breakfast of Champions on Thursday, August 6, 2026 at 7:30 AM at Music City Center in Nashville, TN.

The annual event serves as one of Cumberland Heights' signature fundraisers and supports the organization's mission of helping individuals and families overcome addiction through compassionate, evidence-based care.

This year's Breakfast of Champions carries added significance as Cumberland Heights celebrates 60 years of transforming lives through recovery.

Proceeds from the event will directly benefit Cumberland Heights' Men's Program, which guides individuals from the pain and isolation of addiction toward connection, healing, and long-term recovery.

Through individualized treatment plans, group and individual therapy, family programming, relapse prevention strategies, 12-Step integration, and education about the disease of addiction, the program equips patients with the tools needed to build lasting sobriety and renewed purpose.

A Nashville native and Franklin Road Academy Alum, Wade has earned national recognition for his leadership on and off the basketball court, building programs rooted in accountability, perseverance, and resilience. As the featured speaker, he will share insights on overcoming adversity, personal growth, and redemption — qualities that closely align with the journey of recovery.

The event will also feature the presentation of the 2026 Duke Kennedy Award to Jimmy Stansell, Chairman Emeritus & Culture Champion at Stansell Electric Company, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the recovery community.

A longtime champion of Cumberland Heights' mission, Stansell has served on the organization's Board of Directors for 28 years and has supported generations of patients through his leadership and philanthropy, including the establishment of the Pete Stansell Memorial Endowment Fund in memory of his uncle.

"Cumberland Heights has spent six decades helping people reclaim their lives from addiction, and Breakfast of Champions is an opportunity for our community to invest in that life-changing mission," said Cindy Patterson, Chief Development Officer, Cumberland Heights. "We're honored to welcome Coach Wade and celebrate Jimmy Stansell's unwavering commitment to recovery while continuing to expand hope and healing for those who need it most."

Community members can support the Breakfast of Champions through sponsorships, table hosting, ticket purchases, or donations. Cumberland Heights extends its gratitude to the sponsors, patrons, and supporters whose generosity makes the event — and its impact — possible each year.
