THIS SATURDAY! Nashville Rep’s Ingram New Works Festival Kicks Off Season with Glut by e.k. doolin

Nashville Repertory Theatre proudly launches this season’s Ingram New Works Playwrights with the debut of Glut by playwright e.k. doolin, on Saturday, October 11, 2025.

Glut tells the story of Sarah and Steve, a couple preparing for their wedding who face a challenge far beyond choosing floral arrangements or catering. When one traditional wedding venue closes its doors to “folks of their kind”—more specifically, to people of their size—the pair must confront a world growing less tolerant even as they fight for something bigger: love, acceptance, and the celebration they deserve. With humor and heart, Glut asks audiences to consider the spaces we create, and who we allow inside them.

“Each season of Ingram New Works introduces bold, timely plays to Nashville audiences for the very first time,” said Amos Glass, Interim Executive Director. “With Glut, e.k. doolin gives us a love story that is funny, thought-provoking, and deeply human.”

The performance will take place on Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 7:30 PM at Nashville PBS located at 161 Rains Ave. Tickets may be purchased at https://nashvillerep.org/ingramnewworks.
