GRAMMY MUSEUM® MISSISSIPPI ADDS DANICA HART TO STAR-STUDDED LINEUP FOR OPENING OF THE KILLER, THE PREACHER AND THE COWBOY EXHIBIT
GRAMMY Museum Mississippi has announced the addition of Danica Hart to a special program celebrating the opening of The Killer, The Preacher and the Cowboy: The Legacies of Jerry Lee Lewis, Jimmy Swaggart and Mickey Gilley.
Hart joins previously announced artists James Dupré and Jacob Tolliver on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, for an evening of conversation and performance honoring three influential cousins whose impact shaped American music and ministry.
A proud Mississippi native, Hart brings a deeply personal perspective to the event. Her appearance comes as her latest solo release—a soul-stirring new song “Amazing Grace”—continues to resonate with audiences. Released this past Thanksgiving, the track serves as a powerful personal testimony of resilience and faith, themes that align with the legacies explored in the new exhibit.
“I’ve seen the back roads and the big stages, the little honky-tonks and the backwoods churches—and through it all, the constant has been this: music tells the story of who we are," says Hart. "This exhibit, The Killer, The Cowboy & The Preacher, reminds us that every song carries history, heart, and hope. As a songwriter, this is an important story to tell, and I’m honored to be part of the opening of this exhibit. I’m also grateful for the opportunity to sing for Jimmy Swaggart, who brought the hope of Jesus to so many! It’s going to be a great night!”
A reception will kick off the evening at 6 PM, followed by performances from Hart, Dupré and Tolliver at 7 PM.
The event is made possible by sponsors Sun Records and Visit Mississippi.
A limited number of tickets are available for $50 and may be purchased at the box office or by visiting grammymuseumms.org.
